Negative RT-PCR test result required before entry to Negros Occidental for both vaccinated and unvaccinated
Effective January 9, 2022, those entering Negros Occidental province – vaccinated or not, will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours prior to the issuance of Safe, Swift and Smart Passage (S-PASS).
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is issuing an executive order that will require negative RT-PCR result from travellers coming into the province from areas under Alert Level 3, effective January 9.
Lacson said the negative result should not be later than 72 hours prior to the issuance of the S-PASS.
The governor pointed out that even if individuals from areas U de Alert Level 3 are fully vaccinated, they could still get infected with Covid-19 especially with Omicron variant, so they will be required the negative swab test result.
Areas under Alert Level 3 are those in the National Capital Region including Metro Manila. High number of new Covid cases was recorded each day since New Year’s Day.
Negros Occidental is still under Alert Level 2.*
