Globe network services back in Negros Island; ‘Tower on Wheels’ deployed as restoration efforts continue

Globe’s mobile services are back in Negros Island enabling call, text and data. Negros Occidental is now fully restored, while 21 municipalities in Negros Oriental are back up.

In Cebu, mobile network services in most cities and municipalities have also been restored. Tower on Wheels were deployed to provide back-up connectivity while restoration efforts are ongoing.

In Palawan, three new municipalities namely Araceli, Dumaran and San Vicente were added to the restored list.

Globe’s field teams are working round the clock to bring communications facilities back up following the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette. More towns are seeing significant progress in repairs.

Globe, with the help of local government units, made it possible to hasten restoration efforts across different provinces hit by the typhoon.

Following the Christmas holiday, GCash reported P 18.6 million worth of donations were raised through their platform, under the GCash For Good initiative.

GCash has also opened a new donation through their platform via the “Pay Bills” function. They need only to follow three simple steps:
Tap “Pay Bills” on the GCash app
Tap “Others” and select GCashGivesBack
Enter final details and confirm

Globe and TM customers can also donate through the New GlobeOne app, by donating their Globe Rewards points to either Ayala Foundation, GMA Kapuso Foundation, and Rise Against Hunger Philippines to support on-ground relief operations.
