The mayor thanked Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and DSWD Region VI for their support to the local government in providing assistance to the evacuees.
She also lamented on the recent armed encounter saying that it is Filipinos who are turning against each other and that the victims of such conflicts are always civilians and children.
It can be recalled that the joint troops of the 62nd and 79th Infantry Battalions of the Philippine Army engaged in an hour-long clash with the NPA on November 3, at Barangay Quintin Remo which resulted to the death of two soldiers while wounding four others.* (Condrado D. Garcia)
