Special PAL flights to province ok’d by Negros Occidental Governor

Philippine Airlines is now operating special flights from Manila to Bacolod-Silay Airport following the approval of their request.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson granted the request of PAL for special flights for fully vaccinated individuals from October 18 to
November 29, 2021.

The governor informed PAL Bacolod Manager Rene Aviles that their requestdated October 12, 2021, was approved.

Aviles sought the permission of Lacson to allow fully vaccinated individuals to travel from Manila to Bacolod. All passengers will avail of special discounted rate of P3,750 all-in-fare without undergoing an RT – PCRtest.

The scheduled flight will depart from Manila at around 8:00 am and will arrive at the Bacolod-Silay International Airport at around 9:20 am,every Monday and Friday only, starting October 18, 2021, until November29, 2021.

Provincial Consultant Albee Benitez said the PAL special flights will also cater to residents of Bacolod, considering that the city government will alsono longer require RT-PCR Test for fully vaccinated residents.

Selling of tickets for the flight will started October 14 and will be available on selected travel agents and PAL direct ticket offices only and notthrough their website.

Aviles said the purpose of the special flight is to help promote the vaccination program of the government.*
