No negative RT-PCR test result required for fully vaccinated travellers to Negros Occidental

October 12, 2021

Fully vaccinated travellers with authenticated Quick Response (QR) IDs entering Negros Occidental will no longer be required to present a negative RT-PCR Test result.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz clarifier that this is included in the Executive Order issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson for the month of October.

Diaz said that travellers entering the province should first register to the Safe, Swift and Smart Passage (S-PASS) that requires either a negative RT-PCR test or the verifiable vaccination card.

“All the vaccination cards should reflect in the Provincial Management Information System or the vaccination portal of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT),” the provincial administrator also said.

“We want to accept people who are fully vaccinated with authenticated cards to avoid the proliferation of fake vax cards. The vaccination cards are easy to forge, that’s why you need to have a QR coded ID to avail of the privilege of not presenting a negative RT-PCR test result,” Diaz added.*
