SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “MARING” was estimated based on all available data at 365 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.7°N, 125.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 25 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TS MARING / Southwest Monsoon. Moderate to strong winds coming from Northwest to Southwest will prevail over Negros island and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough with estimated wave height at 1.2 to 4.0 meters.
