SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “MARING” was estimated based on all available data at 605 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (12.5°N, 129.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving Southward at 10 km/h. Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting the rest of the country.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to ITCZ. Light to moderate winds coming from the Southwest to Northwest will prevail over Negros Island and the coastal waters are slight to moderate with an average height of 0.6 to 2.5m.
