Top leaders of Love Negros (LN) and United Negros Alliance (UNegA) yesterday morning launched the candidacies of the coalition’s bets in Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) for the 2022 election, led by re-electionists Mayor Marxlen Dela Cruz, Vice Mayor JR Dela Cruz and municipal councilors.
Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson (LN), Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer (UNegA), 1st District Cong. Gerardo Valmayor (LN), Sagay City Mayor Thirdy Marañon (UNegA), Prov’l Board Member Araceli Somosa (LN), Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante, and BM Momoy Debulgado (LN) graced the ceremony, showing the unity of the LN-UNegA coalition.
Gov. Lacson, Vice Gov. Ferrer, other leaders of the two local parties and Mayor Marxlen and VM JR took turns in expressing support to the coalition as envisioned by the late former DSB Mayor and Provincial Board Member Nene Dela Cruz, stressing that unity of leaders will further bring development and progress to the province and its people.
As VM JR said, the unity of Love Negros and UNegA will be a “Uni-Love” that will heal the people, and PBM Somosa also called the unity “First Love” under the banner of Abanse Negrense.
The power house gathering of top LN and UNegA top leaders yesterday was called by those who witnessed the event and exchanges as an emotional but very promising display of unity that will further steer not only DSB but the entire Province of Negros Occidental to greater heights.* (Arman P. Toga)
