In the current trend of digitalization in education, and in adapting to the new normal in conducting online classes, the Rotary Club of Bacolod initiated the donation of learning gadgets and educational books for the students of Fe Caridad Elementary School in Antique especially those coming from the underprivileged families.

This is part of spearheading the Rotary International Area of Focus in Basic Education and Literacy.

The smartphones and educational books were given as an aid to the students who are under distance e-learning and currently enrolled in online learning delivery modality as required by the school authorities in adapting to the safety protocols of this pandemic.

Life Changing President Pauline Cuaycong, and Rotarian Michelle Medrano, Club Assistant Treasurer representing Rotary Club of Bacolod turned over the smartphones that are internet-ready for e-learning and educational books to the school represented by Mr. Virgilio Modesto, Principal of Fe Caridad Elementary School September 25, 2021.

The provision of learning gadgets is important to the students especially now that education is moving towards the utilization of technology.

Moreover, it is a great contribution towards better learning modes for students who are deserving but are economically- deprived.
The educational tools will certainly help on their foundation towards the new trend of learning and will help build their future.

The Rotary Club of Bacolod continues to help and support the community in whatever way it can, as it stands for this year’s theme, Serve to Change Lives.* (Frederick Anthony B. de Leon, Club Secretary)
