Health measures in place for tomorrow’s teachers’ exam
The Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center – Task Force (EOC-TF) has ensured the compliance of health and safety measures by examinees in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers that will be held at the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos campus tomorrow, September 26.0
“We are conducting a briefing for all stakeholders to make sure that health protocols are properly implemented and observed,” the EOC-TF said in a statement.
Yesterday, the team of City Administrator Em Ang, concurrent executive director of EOC-TF, medical deputies Dr. Chris Sorongon and Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan, and Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., the officer in charge of the City Health Office, held a briefing and ocular inspection of the examination venue.
They were joined by representatives of the Bacolod City Police Office, Barangay 40 Task Force Disiplina, EOC Information and Education Committee, and EOC Secretariat.
In a notice to examinees, the Professional Regulation Commission 6 (Western Visayas) said additional coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) health and safety measures have been required by the EOC-TF during the conduct of the examination.
On the day of the examination, they must submit either a certificate of quarantine or negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result, as well as present a BacTrac contact tracing ID card for scanning at the gate.
The certificate of quarantine covering the past 14 days must be certified by the barangay where the examinee resides.
The negative RT-PCR test result should have been released within three to five days before the examination.
Examinees are also urged by the EOC-TF to get vaccinated and they will be prioritized for vaccination once they present their notice of admission.
There will be 811 examinees: 638 for secondary level and 173 for elementary.* (Nanette Guadalquiver)
