SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “JOLINA” (CONSON) was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite (14.2°N, 120.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 10 km/h. Meanwhile, the center of the eye of Typhoon “KIKO” (CHANTHU) was estimated based on all available data at 1,035 km East of Central Luzon (15.6°N, 131.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 215 km/h. It is moving West Southwestward at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to STS JOLINA/Southwest Monsoon.
Light to moderate winds coming from the Southwest to Southeast will prevail over Negros Island and the coastal waters are slight to moderate with an average height of 0.6 to 2.1 m.

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm “JOLINA” (CONSON) was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Boac, Marinduque (13.4°N, 121.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 100 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 150 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Meanwhile, the center of the eye of Typhoon “KIKO” (CHANTHU) was estimated based on all available data at 1,195 km East of Central Luzon (16.3°N, 133.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h. It is moving Westward at 20 km/h. Moreover, Southwest Monsoon affecting the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to STS “JOLINA”/Southwest Monsoon. Light to moderate winds coming from the Southwest to Southeast will prevail over Negros Island and the coastal waters are slight to moderate with an average height of 0.6 to 2.1m
