Former 3-termer SB Uy to run for VM of Isabela in next year’s election

Former Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Raffy Uy of Isabela confirmed to newsmen that he will run for the vice mayoralty post in the 2022 election.

Uy, who has been serving Isabeleños for 23 years since he was elected as top officer of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), to a kagawad, and became a three-termer municipal councilor, said he is more than ready and capable to serve as vice mayor.

In an interview Saturday morning (Sept. 4, 2021) with NDB and DYHB in Brgy. Tinongan, Isabela after the “Go Duterte Go” caravan, Uy revealed why he did not pursue his 2019 candidacy for vice mayor of the town despite the fact that he already filed his candidacy as an independent.

He said that next year he will run under the ticket of incumbent Vice Mayor Renato “JR” Malabor Jr. Malabor, he said will run for mayor.

Uy was with former Aguisan Barangay Captain Macoy Javelosa, former Isabela SB PM Montilla, among others during the pro-Duterte caravan from Himamaylan City to Binalbagan, Hinigaran, and Isabela.*
