3,000 Cauayanons get P3,000 cash assistance each

The Office of the President (Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte) and the Office of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the request of Cauayan Mayor John Rey Dadivas Tabujara and Vice Mayor Analisa Tabujara-Soriano with MSWDO head Leonida Guido, released financial assistance to Cauayanons adversely affected by COVID-19.

The September 3, 2021 payout was graced and attended by DSWD Asec Victor Neri, Sen. Bong Go staff Samantha Dela Peña, Victorias City Councilor Derek Palanca, and DA Asec Evangelista.

A total of P9 million were given to 3,000 qualified Cauayanons. Beneficiaries came from different sectoral groups – ERPAT, Person With Disabilities, Economic Sector, Barangay Health Workers, KALIPI (Women), Solo Parents, Indigeneous People, Farmers, Fisherfolks, Jeepney and Tricyle Drivers.

Each beneficiary was also provided fastfood lunch packs, while some got raffle prizes, wheelchairs, among others.
