Headless body found in spot where cop was shot dead

A headless body was found at Rosario Street in downtown Barangay 38 in Bacolod City last night, at a spot where a policeman was shot dead on Sunday.

Several minutes after the discovery of the headless body, a head was found in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, also in the city.
Police authorities were still investigating and determining the identity of the body as of press deadline last night.

The body was reportedly riddled with bullets. Beside it was a note with the words: BAYAD SA UTANG!!! INTEREST PA LANG … CAPITAL PREPARAR PARA SUMA TOTAL !!!! HALONG BACOLOD.

The spot where the beheaded body was found, was the same spot where Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit (BCPO DEU) member, 37-year-old P/Staff Sergeant Joseph Nepomuceno, was shot dead at around 5 p.m. on August 29, 2021 while on his scooter and was on duty.

 

Riding-in-tandem suspects in Nepomuceno’s killing remain at large.
