Cops nab 4 drug suspects, seize P177-K shabu in Bacolod

Anti-drug operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested four suspects and seized almost P177,000 worth of suspected shabu in two buy-busts, according to the police reports today.

Police Station 8 operatives led by Maj. Joery Puerto apprehended two men at around 8 o’clock last night, Aug. 14, after they sold P500 of shabu to a poseur-buyer in Florenciville Subdivision, Barangay Pahanocoy.

The suspects were identified as Carel John Rula, 42, a resident of the area, and his companion Rodel Remegio, 24, of Barangay 18, Bacolod.

Operatives recovered seven sachets containing 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000, along with two coin purses, a disposable lighter, and an improvised tooter from the suspects.

On Friday, two suspects were arrested by personnel of Police Station 6 in Purok Pilipinhon, Barangay 30 during the operation at around 1 a.m.

They were identified as Fritz Erespe, 45, and Maricon Elpos, 50, both residents of Barangay 30.

The suspects sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman, and yielded 10 small sachets containing about six grams of the same prohibited substance valued at P40,800.

Operatives also recovered an improvised tooter, two disposable lighters, a sling bag, a candy canister, a coin purse, and P510 cash.* (Nanette Guadalquiver)
