SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 560 km East of Calayan, Cagayan (19.0°N, 126.8°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.

FORECAST: Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds coming from the Southeast to Southwest will prevail over Negros Island and the coastal waters are slight to moderate with an average height of 0.6 to 2.5 m.

SEISMICITY: 10 Volcanic Earthquake

SULFUR DIOXIDE FLUX: 275 tonnes/day (04 August 2021)

PLUME: Moderate emission of white steam laden plumes that rose 300 meters before drifting to Northwest and Southwest.

GROUND DEFORMATION: Ground deformation remains slightly inflated.

REMARKS: Four (4) kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) must be strictly prohibited.
