Fast craft trips between Bacolod and Iloilo City suspended

Beginning today, August 3, 2021, trips between Iloilo City and Bacolod City are suspended.

Chief Petty Officer Louie Campaner, commander of the Philippine Coast Guard Bacolod Substation confirmed this following the imposition of the hard lockdown in Iloilo City until Aug. 8, 2021.

The lockdown is a move by the Iloilo City government against COVID-19 following reports that Delta variant cases are already in Panay.

Trips of roll on roll off vessels, on the other hand continue between Bacolod and Dumangas. Roro vessels primarily ferry essential goods between Panay and Negros islands through BREDCO and Banago ports in Bacolod and Dumangas in Iloilo.

Only essential travelers are allowed to enter Bacolod and the Province of Negros Occidental from Panay.

All those traveling from Panay, including Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR), except those from national government agencies entering Bacolod are required to present the following requirements:

Online BacTrac Registration, Online Health Declaration, S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit, and valid personal IDs.*
