Gov.Lacson joins Kabankalan City’s 24th Charter Day Anniversary
Gov. Bong Lacson joined the 24th Charter Day Anniversary celebration of Kabankalan City, together with the local officials led by Mayor Pedro Zayco, Jr. and Vice Mayor Raul Rivera, today, with the theme, “Pagbangon kag Pag-isa sa Tunga sang Pandemya”.
The activity started with a thanksgiving mass and followed by a short.
The Kabankalan Hymn was launched at the program and the Kabankalan City Rondalla Ensemble performed a musical rendition.
Also present in the activity were former 6th District Rep. Mercedes Alvarez, Board Member Jeffrey Tubola and Miguel Alonso, former governor and former Kabankalan mayor, Isidro Zayco, and the city’s Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, among others.
Gov. Lacson said that the progress of Kabankalan City, including the businesses coming in can be greatly attributed to the good governance of Kabankalan’s public officials.
He said that Kabankalan is one of the largest and most dynamic and progressive cities of Negros Occidental.
“To the people of Kabankalan, we in the government and public service, understand the hardships and difficulty you are going through, however I want you to know that we are doing everything under the circumstance to mitigate the effects of this health and economic crisis,” he said.
“Let us unite and cooperate with the present rules and protocols, for unless we are unified, we can never get past this present crisis; we have to do this together,” he added.*
