Cauayan imposing additional stringent measures vs Covid-19
Mayor John Rey D. Tabujara signed Executive Order No. 29 series of 2021, imposing additional stringent measures in the implementation of Community Quarantine Protocols in the Municipality of the Cauayan, Neg. Occ.
Salient points of the EO are the following, based on the advisory of the Cauayan Municipal Information Office:
1. The operation of Quarantine Control Point (checkpoint), in front of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) station shall be activated starting July 29, 2021 until amended or revoked to be manned by the IMT-MIATF, PNP and BFP personnel, traffic enforcers, barangay tanods and other force multipliers.
They are also allowed to check people for prior reservations or bookings to resorts or similar recreational places within the Municipality, and deny them entry if found unqualified.
Quarantine control points shall also be established in Barangay Bulata (specifically going to Bulata Pier/Port and the southern part of Cauayan) and in Barangay Elihan (going to beach resorts) to be manned by the IMT-MIATF, barangay tanods, traffic enforcers, and other force multipliers.
2. The entry of motorcycle riders, bikers, hikers and joggers SHALL BE PROHIBITED in any public place within the territorial jurisdiction of this Municipality of Cauayan, Negros Occidental, who are gathering or converging for leisure, recreation, bonding and other related purposes.
3. All barangay officials shall strictly monitor all beaches, resorts, waterparks and other similar recreational venues within their territorial jurisdiction for blatant violations of existing health protocols. Beach goers from other cities and municipalities shall be strictly prohibited to converge or gather in public beaches.
