Negros Occ. Police Office Retains Status as PRO-6’s Top Performing Unit
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has been recognized anew as the top performing unit under the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) for the months of July and August.
This is the third consecutive month that NOCPPO topped the region’s Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) after Col. Romy Palgue, police provincial director, took over the leadership in the first week of June.
“I congratulate our troops for being number one in the whole Region 6 for the third time – June, July and August. Keep up the good work,” Palgue said today.
The NOCPPO, which adopts the slogan “Negrense CARES,” an acronym for Challenge, Admire, Respect, Encourage and Support each other, again bested the seven other units under the PRO-6 after garnering a converted total rating of 90.69 percent for the month of July and 89.44, for the month of August.
The past two months indicated a marked improvement in the rating of the Negros Occidental police after obtaining only 86.70 percent in June.
The total score is broken down as 50 percent operational and 50 percent administration performance.
The eight units are rated based on 11 parameters – police-community relations, human resource and doctrine development, intelligence, operations, investigation, plans, research, logistics, information and communications technology, personnel management, and finance.
In July, the Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) ranked second with a rating of 89.06 percent followed by Antique PPO, 88.96; Iloilo PPO, 88.83; Iloilo City Police Office (CPO), 87.49; Guimaras PPO, 87.44; Bacolod CPO, 87.15; and Capiz PPO, 87.09.
