132 Bacolodnon OFWs complete quarantine as new Covid cases emerge

A total of 132 Bacolodnon OFWs have completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine and were sent home yesterday, June 11.

They compose of 58 and 74 OFWs from two quarantine facilities of Bacolod.

While they were sent home yesterday, new cases of COVID-19 positive emerged in the city.

Bacolod Councilor Israel Salanga, chair of Action Team on Returning OFWs, handed out the certificates of completion to the “graduates” during a simple send-off program.

They were all sent home aboard the two city buses and were reunited with their families, according to the City PIO.

Meanwhile, as more locally stranded individuals and returning OFWs arrive in the city, additional positive cases were recorded.

Bacolod as of yesterday has a total of 20 confirmed Covid cases.
