A driver living in Barangay Bata, Bacolod is now in an isolation facility after he was found positive of the coronavirus infection today.

Contact tracing was also started today, in coordination with barangay officials, local Inter-Agency Task Force (AITF) spokesperson Dr. Grace Tan of the City Health Office told newsmen.

The 32-year-old positive patient had flu symptoms, cough and sore throat so he was subjected to RT-PCR test on June 5.

The positive result was released today.

IATF head, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran meanwhile said Patient #18 is a personal driver, and lives in a squatters area in Bata.

Familiaran reminded the public to always abide by health protocols, like social or physical distancing, wearing of face mask, and frequent washing. “Stay home when there is no important reason to go out. This is not yet the time to relax,” he said.
