PRO NIR Commends Cops for Swift Action, Successful Law Enforcement Operations

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region recognized police officers for their prompt response, decisive action, and exemplary performance in the successful conduct of law enforcement operations during an awarding ceremony held September 21, 2026 at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. In Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The ceremony was led by PBGen. Villaflor S. Bannawagan, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, together with the Command Group. It was attended by the regional staff, personal staff, awardees and their families, other officers and personnel.

The ceremony recognized personnel whose dedication, readiness, and decisive action contributed to prompt emergency response, successful hot pursuit, and effective anti-drug operations, responding to a 911 call involving the illegal discharge of firearms and violation of Republic Act No. 10591, arresting a murder suspect through immediate hot pursuit, and apprehending a drug suspect in a successful buy-bust operation. Their accomplishments underscore PRO NIR’s commitment to crime prevention and crime solution through timely intervention, coordinated operations, and professional police service.

For having demonstrated exemplary efficiency and devotion to duty as Team Leader of La Carlota Component City Police Station, NOcPPO, through his prompt response to a 911 emergency call on September 13, 2026, at Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay Haguimit, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect for violation of Illegal Discharge of Firearms and Republic Act No. 10591, and the confiscation of a firearm, ammunition, magazines, and a bladed weapon.
PSSg Ariel A. Ebias
For having demonstrated exemplary efficiency and devotion to duty as Investigator On Case of Police Station 7, BCPO, through the prompt and effective conduct of a hot pursuit operation on September 1, 2026, at Gardenville Subdivision, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City, which resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect for the crime of Murder.

For his meritorious and invaluable services rendered as Arresting Officer of City Drug Enforcement Unit, BCPO in the successful conduct of buy-bust operation on September 8, 2026 at Purok Magtiayon, Barangay 10, Bacolod City which resulted in the arrest of a High Value Individual for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 and the confiscation of shabu weighing 147.208 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP 1,001,014.40.

These accomplishments demonstrate the importance of prompt response, decisive action, and disciplined police service in protecting communities and addressing criminal activities.
