Husband and Wife Nabbed for P5.4M ‘Shabu’

Two High Value Individuals were arrested while around 800 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price of PhP 5,440,000 were seized during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Bacolod Police Station 1, BCPO at about 2:43 AM on July 25, 2026, in Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay 35, Bacolod City, delivering a significant blow to the region’s illegal drug supply network and reaffirming its relentless campaign against illegal drugs.

The suspects were identified as alias”Gard,” 44 years old, male, and his wife alias “Ann,” 31 years old, female, married, both residents of Purok 5, Magsungay, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

An information was received from a confidential informant that the suspects had been actively engaged in the illegal drug trade in Barangays 35 and Singcang-Airport, Bacolod.

Acting on the information, the operatives conducted casing and surveillance operations to validate the report and monitor the suspects’ illegal activities for possible law enforcement action. Through the assistance of the confidential informant, a drug transaction was successfully arranged, leading to the swift conduct of a buy-bust operation upon the consummation of the sale.

Recovered during the operation were:

1. One (1) big sachet of suspected shabu (buy-bust item);
2. Ten (10) knot tied plastic bag of suspected shabu (possession);
3. Four (4) big sachets of suspected shabu;
4. One (1) Eco bag;
5. One (1) coin pouch;
6. Seven (7) One thousand peso bill ( (buy-bust money); and
7. One (1) Bajaj motorcycle with side car.

The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and the provisions of the Anti-Torture Act in a language they fully understood. The confiscated pieces of evidence were properly marked, inventoried, and photographed in the presence of the suspects and the required witnesses in accordance with Section 21 of Republic Act No. 9165. They were subsequently brought to Police Station 1, BCPO, for proper legal disposition.
