PRO NIR Concludes EDSA People Power Anniversary Observances

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region successfully concluded security operations for the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power today, February 25, 2026, ensuring that all public gatherings across Negros Island were conducted in a safe, orderly, and peaceful manner.
An estimated 2,850 participants, comprising of 680 from Bacolod City, 2,100 from Kabankalan City, and 70 from Dumaguete City, joined the historic observance. A total of 2,127 personnel from the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region were strategically assigned to key locations to ensure comprehensive security coverage. PRO NIR strictly implemented public safety protocols, traffic management, and crowd control measures, in close coordination with local government units and partner agencies, ensuring that the activity proceeded in an orderly, uninterrupted, and peaceful manner.
