Talisay City Gov’t Gets Land for Its Hospital Project

The dream of Talisaynons to have their own hospital will soon materialize with the donation of 10,000 square meters of land for the project.

Talisay Mayor Rowena “Weng” Lopez-Lizares, in behalf of the city government, signed Thursday afternoon, January 29, the Deed of Donation with donor Carmela Valley Agricultural Corporation/HDL Construction and Development Corporation, represented by its CEO and President Dolores Lopez, for parcels of land for the construction of a hospital.

Mayor Lizares during the signing at the Mayor’s Office at the Talisay City Hall, stressed that with the donation by Carmela Valley/HDL, the construction of a hospital for Talisaynons may be started before 2028.

The mayor expressed her gratitude to the Lopez family “for answering the call of the Talisaynons, istening not just to a proposal, but to the collective voice of a community seeking better health services.”

The signing ceremony was attended by former Mayor Neil Lizares, other city officials and private individuals.

Among those at the signing rites, considered another milestone achievement for Talisay under Mayor Weng, were City Administrator Atty. Jonathan Ealdama, Carmela Valley Corporation General Manager Kenneth Tirthdas, Former Mayor and FGM Neil Lizares, Mrs. Carmela Jones, Sangguniang Panlungsod Members Yuri Tuvilla, Martin Lizares, Wilfred Malan, Merci Ereñeta and Joemarie Estelloso and Barangay Zone 12A Punong Barangay Edwin Iledan.* (Arman P.
