Councils Approve P30M Allocation for Disaster Recovery and Development

January 26, 2026

The Municipal Development Council (MDC) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), presided over by Moises Padilla Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo, have officially earmarked P30 million for social assistance and infrastructure development during a joint meeting on Thursday, January 22, at the Mayor’s Office.

A major priority of this allocation is the P20 Million fund from the Office of the President for financial assistance to residents whose homes were damaged by Typhoon Tino. Of this total, P10 million was coursed through the Provincial Government, while the other P10 million was provided directly to the LGU.

The councils also approved the following strategic investments:
• Relocation Site Development: P400,000 (donated by Kabankalan City) for families displaced by the typhoon.
• Agricultural Support: P9.6 Million from local funds for swine upgrading programs and the irrigation project in Barangay Montilla.

Through the active leadership of Mayor Garcia-Yulo and Vice Mayor Felix Mathias Segundo “Pimpoy” Yulo III, the LGU remains dedicated to facilitating the efficient delivery of provincial and national support programs to address the recovery and development needs of Moises Padilla residents.* (CG)
