Bacolod Pickleball Club shines at 1st PicklePoint Pickleball tourney

Bacolod Pickleball Club (BPC) delivered an outstanding performance at the 1st PicklePoint Pickleball Tournament, clinching an impressive haul of two gold medals, one silver medal, and three bronze medals. The tournament was held on January 17–18, 2026, in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, and featured competitive players from across the region.
Representing Bacolod were Lowella Marie Sanicas, Philippe Jethro Sarmon, Victor Dave Aplasca, Sean Rodrigazo, Alexandra Grace Aplasca, Jules Lobaton, Andrei Frias Jr., Areetha Rodriguez, Kimberly Rodriguez, Leizel Rodriguez, Philip Rodriguez, Monina Lizardo, Manny Merelos, ChutClaver, Jeth Panaligan, Crystal Subardiaga, Joben Hervias, AJ Gonzales, Zeny Pabilona, Rhett Jugos, Jay Famoso, Prea Xeña, John Clyde Espares, Levi Duran, Luis Tocmo, and Caryl Ginete, all competing under the guidance of Coach Genevie Gregorio.
The team’s strong showing reflected their dedication, discipline, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship, marking a significant milestone for the rapidly growing pickleball community in Bacolod. Their success not only showcased individual talent but also underscored the strength of collective training and camaraderie within the club.
Founded in September 2023 by Nancy “Tingting” Uy, the Bacolod Pickleball Club continues to grow steadily, attracting an increasing number of members and enthusiasts as pickleball gains popularity in Bacolod City and the wider region.* (Mary Grace Peralta)
