Globe Nears Full Broadband Restoration in Bacolod
Globe is speeding up efforts to restore broadband services in Bacolod after Typhoon Tino damaged fiber lines and electrical posts across the city. Staying true to its Alagang Globe commitment, the company continues to prioritize customers’ needs as teams work round the clock to bring connectivity back to homes.
As of the latest update, Globe has restored around 90% of broadband services across Bacolod. The remaining restoration work focuses on fiber lines that connect directly to homes, which took the heaviest impact during the storm.
“We’re moving quickly to bring services back,” said Adonis Evangelista, Head of VisMin Broadband Field Operations at Globe. “Bacolod’s recovery is part of our broader effort to strengthen connectivity nationwide, ensuring customers stay connected when it matters most.”
Field teams remain deployed daily across the city, working side by side with the local government of Bacolod, barangay officials, and power partners to clear damaged routes and complete repairs. Regular coordination with LGUs and other key stakeholders continues to ensure that restoration is both safe and efficient.
To ease the impact on affected customers, Globe has implemented temporary bill adjustments for qualified broadband accounts while services are being restored. Customers are encouraged to use the GlobeOne app to monitor service advisories, restoration updates, and other notifications directly through the app or via SMS. They may also join Globe’s official Negros and Siquijor Viber community for real-time updates and customer assistance.
As work nears completion, Globe reaffirms its commitment to help Bacolod fully recover and emerge stronger from the impact of recent typhoons, reflecting its continued Alagang Globe care and partnership with local communities.*
