Bacolod Arts, Cultural and Heritage Inc. (BACHI) joined this year’s Art Tienda & Pop-Up Market organized by the Orange Project, one of the most anticipated art fairs in the city. With the theme “Art of Giving” authored by the iconic and multi-awarded visual artist Charlie Co, the event once again highlighted the power of creativity in fostering community and generosity.

The Orange Project has long been a champion of local arts and artists. Under Charlie Co’s mentorship, many emerging talents have grown into seasoned practitioners, enriching Bacolod’s growing cultural landscape. This year, BACHI, led by President Sandy Solinap, partnered with Abstract Gallery owned and managed by Kyle Jocson, Vice President of BACHI, to showcase works from promising local visual artists and crafters.

BACHI’s participation reflects its mission to empower young and emerging artists, giving them opportunities to introduce themselves to the wider creative community and to share their voices through art.

The fair concluded with a festive and unconventional Christmas celebration titled “Everything but Christmas.” Artists and guests arrived in imaginative costumes, expressing themselves in playful styles. The evening was filled with games, prizes and good food, creating a joyful atmosphere that perfectly capped the year.* (Robert Harland)
