PDEA, Bacolod City Gov’t Intensify Anti-Drug Strategies
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Negros Island Region-Negros Occidental Provincial Office continues to strengthen anti-drug campaigns through closer coordination with local government units.
On December 5, 2025, Investigation Agent I Gelly Robins G. Cataluña of the PDEA RO NIR-NOCPO met with Ms. Lordielyn Joy S. Pereyra, Focal Person of the Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) for another vital coordination meeting.
The meeting focused on reinforcing the partnership between PDEA NOCPO and the Bacolod LGU to intensify efforts in support of the national anti-drug campaign.
Key discussions revolved around the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) and empowering the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs). The goal is to enhance their operational capacity through improved advocacy, better coordination with enforcement units, and ensuring continued compliance with BDCP guidelines, a PDEA report said.
Ms. Pereyra expressed CADAC’s unwavering support, pledging to provide office supplies, drug testing kits, and even fuel to aid PDEA NOCPO in its field operations, it added.
Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to work together in creating a safer, drug-resilient Bacolod City, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in addressing drug-related challenges, the report also added.*
