Bacolod Philippines Stake Hosts Annual Christmas Devotional
The Bacolod Philippines Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints successfully held its much-anticipated Annual Christmas Devotional today, bringing together members from different wards for an evening of worship, joy, and sacred musical celebration.
One of the major highlights of the program was the inspiring performance of the Bacolod 2nd Ward Choir, which captivated the audience with their powerful and heartfelt renditions of “Carol of the Bells” and “Sing Noel.” Their vibrant and spirited voices filled the venue with the true essence of the Christmas season, drawing the congregation into a meaningful atmosphere of reflection and praise.
The choir performed under the dedicated leadership of Sister Grace Daut-Suela, conductor, whose musical direction brought precision, unity, and emotional depth to the presentation. Enhancing the choral excellence was the outstanding accompaniment of Prof. Alexander Magno Romero, a Philippine-renowned LDS pianist, conductor, and educator, whose artistry further elevated the musical offering.
Adding to the richness of the devotional, every ward in the Bacolod Philippines Stake presented their own Christmas carol performances, showcasing unity, faith, and the varied musical talents of the members. Each presentation reflected the shared message of hope, love, and the true meaning of Christmas.
The Annual Christmas Devotional served as a powerful reminder of the season’s sacred purpose—celebrating the birth of the Savior through music, fellowship, and collective worship.* (AMR)
